Pirez - Bottom Bracket Fit Kits
Pirez offer a range of items to assist with the correct alignment and fitting of Bafang mid-drive motors.
Our Standard - Silver Fit Kit provides the following items to assist in that correct alignment.
- Bottom Bracket Spacers (1.5mm) - Qty 3
- Washers (1.2mm) - Qty 10
- Mounting Screws (16mm) - Qty 2
This Fit Kit should provide a sufficient amount for most bikes.
Note: We also have a Premium - Black Fit Kit which is aesthetically better because it's black, but also provides more spacing options for a more accurate fit.
Note: It is not necessary to use all these items. You simply use the items you need.

- Bottom Bracket Spacers (1.5mm) - Qty 3
These bottom bracket spacers are designed to allow a sufficient gap between the main gear housing of the motor and the bike frame.
These spacers allow for a 1.5mm, 3mm or 4.5mm spacing depending whether you use 1, 2or 3 spacers.
The spacers are placed over the mid-drive axle of the motor, so they will sit between the main gear housing and the bottom bracket.
Once this gap is the correct distance, you need to ensure the triangular mounting plate will sit straight, perpendicular to the axle.
You can use the washers to achieve this.
Install the necessary number of washers on the mounting screws, adjacent to the triangular mounting bolt to ensure it sits straight. You generally should not need more than 5 washers on each screw.
These washers are stainless steel so that they will not rust. You can paint over if required.
- Mounting Screws (16mm) - Qty 2
If you have added a large number of these spacers and washers to fit your motor, the original screws provided with your motor may not be long enough.
This kit provides a pair of longer substitute screws.
These two longer screws are stainless steel to prevent rusting and can be painted over.
